The 7 Levels of Coaching is a progression hierarchy created by Ira Curry, known as the King of Business, to define how signed coaches advance within Ira Curry Holdings, Inc.
The hierarchy describes the stages a coach moves through as their business grows—from working directly with clients to leading a self-sustaining company and ultimately becoming a Celebrity Coach.
Each level represents a new stage of income, impact, authority, and influence.
The system is not a course, certification, or training program. Instead, it serves as a structured path of professional advancement inside the Business Celebrity Movement.
The 7 Levels of Coaching exists to provide clear direction for coaches building businesses under the guidance of Ira Curry Holdings, Inc.
It helps define:
how a coach grows professionally,
how leadership responsibility increases over time, and
how individuals transition from service providers to business celebrities.
The hierarchy functions similarly to a corporate ladder, but within the coaching and business celebrity ecosystem.
The progression hierarchy is based on several guiding ideas:
Advancement reflects real business growth, not completed lessons.
Titles are fixed and remain consistent across the organization.
Each level represents increased responsibility and influence.
Progression happens through experience and demonstrated development.
Ira Curry personally advanced through each level before introducing the hierarchy to coaches within the ecosystem.
The hierarchy includes seven roles organized across four stages of advancement. Descriptions below explain the purpose of each role at a high level.
Consultant (Founder)
The starting stage. Individuals work directly with clients, sell their expertise independently, and build the foundation of their business.
Coach (Senior)
Represents a more established professional with stronger authority and refined services while continuing one-to-one client work.
Community Coach
Begins leading groups or communities rather than only individuals, expanding reach and influence.
Group Coach
Operates structured group programs designed to serve multiple clients at once while building consistent business stability.
General Coach
The business becomes system-driven and less dependent on the coach’s daily presence. Operations become more structured and scalable.
Head Coach (CEO)
Acts as an organizational leader overseeing teams, strategy, and company direction rather than daily coaching activities.
Celebrity Coach (Executive Chairman)
The highest level within the hierarchy.
At this stage:
the business operates independently,
leadership responsibilities are delegated,
focus shifts from clients to audience and cultural influence,
the role centers on vision, governance, and long-term legacy.
Celebrity Coach represents the final stage of advancement within the system.
The progression hierarchy is closely associated with Coachman, the flagship platform operated under Ira Curry Holdings, Inc., where many signed coaches begin developing their businesses.
Because of this connection, the hierarchy is often informally called the Coachman Ladder, similar to how traditional companies refer to a corporate ladder.
The 7 Levels of Coaching developed alongside the growth of the Business Celebrity Movement as a way to clearly define advancement among coaches within the ecosystem.
It introduced a structured model describing how coaching careers evolve into executive leadership and public influence roles.
